IES's Management College and Research Centre, Mumbai
Hello student,
As you are now in first year of civil, you have enough time to prepare for IES as well as GATE.
I don't think there is any difficulty in preparing GATE and ESE simultaneously, as syllabus of both the subjects are almost same except some non-technical subjects and some small portion of technical part. I have seen many students who have done well in both the exams even secured rank 1 in both the exams.
Let me share some strategy for preparation of both the exams simultaneously. In technical part, questions asked in GATE is usually numeric based (though theoretical concepts are also being asked), whereas in ESE, you should have in-depth knowledge of subjects and numericals are easy to calculate (As calculator is not allowed) if you know the concept. Summarily, both exams need in-depth clarity of concepts and can be easily qualified if you prepare with the sincerity.
Now, coming to non-tech part. Engineering mathematics and Aptitude-reasoning are same for both the ESE and GATE, so you do not have to prepare for these subjects separately. Apart from this, you can cover english for GATE as it has less weightage. For ESE, you will have prepare some extra non-technical subjects like Current Affairs, Energy & Environment, Material Science (It is easier for Mechanical, EE & EC students, as they read it in technical part also with bit difference in syllabus), Design- Drawing- Safety, Standards- Quality, ICT, Project Management, and Ethics. You may think how can one prepare these subjects in less time, but let me tell you these subjects have less syllabus and number of questions asked in exam is less also (Questions from 10 subjects are there out of 100 questions). So, you can cover this part easily. If you are not able to prepare for exams by self-study, I would suggest you to join any coaching classes as wasting of time and taste the failure are not recommendable. Many of my juniors had issues with preparation & at last joined Made Easy to prepare for both the exams.
All the Best!!!
Hii,
IES institute of Technology Bhopal was established in the year 1999. The college is located in a good area of about 45 Acres in Bhopal. The College is affiliated to AICTEE, NAAC, NCTE and technical education. It provides the Courses in Science, technology and other fields.
Institute of Technology Gopeshwar, IES Management College and research centre Mumbai are Approved by AICTE. These are good institutes. But these two colleges are not accredited by NAAC A Certificate. However these Colleges provides the quality education, facilities and good placements.
Hello Ankur Mishra.
I would like to inform you that in engineering , no exam is considered to be extremely tough. Since all the streams are taught the basic subjects in the first year, every student has a brief idea about the subject being offered under every course. Therefore, you should be able to figure it out whether it is your cup of tea or not.
Hey poonam
Manufacturing technologyprovides the tools that enable production of all manufactured goods. These master tools of industry magnify the effort of individual workers and give an industrial nation the power to turn raw materials into the affordable, quality goods essential to today's society.
Welding technology involves the melting of metal to create goods. Welders work in a variety of different industries with many different pieces of equipment. ... Therefore, some training begins with learning safety procedures and moves on to the development of craftsmanship and welding techniques.
So, Information on both the courses are given, It Is on You , must go with your interest.
I Hope It Helps

hi rohit,
i think bv pune is the best out of all in terms of infrastucture, placement, campus and overall future. infrastructure wise BVCOE has all the amenities. they have 5–6 canteens serving good cheap food. Every room has A/C, clean cool drinking water, well equipped labs and fully functional book bank and library. Wifi is also there for the use of students and is good.
As for the studies part, faculty is good and helping. They are well informed of the topics and provide good mentor ship for research projects. The college also gets various projects from companies and organisations. For those wishing for extra curricular activities, BVCOE has the most number of societies than any IPU college. Students here have much better personality overall than other colleges, professionally speaking.
Placements are one of the best here. Every year has been better than the last. For CSE we have quite a lot of students getting packages of around 5–7 lacs pa. Many students are also able to get good scores in GATE or GRE. Quite a number of students do go abroad for high studies from here as well.
So closing, if you are getting this college in IPU then go for it.
hope it helps!
