Hello Shivansh,
You have mentioned two completely different kinds of colleges and asked for a comparison between the two which is not possible. Can you compare and IIM with IIT? Of course not.
IIFM is a business school that offers PGDM in finance and IB. Whereas IIHMR is an institute that focusses on healthcare management.
Hope this helps!

It is a course that is course that is becoming highly popular amongst the students because of the tremendously growing healthcare industry. This translates to umpteen numbers of opportunities in terms of career. When it comes to choosing between IIHMR in Jaipur and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Pune, the choice is tough as both the institutes have carved a special niche. But if it comes to picking one, I’d go for SIHS for reasons I’ll enlist below
1. Academics:
The two-year post graduate programme at SIHS has some of the illustrious names for the permanent as well as the visiting teaching faculty. Experts in their field, these members have several research papers to their names. Also, SIHS has academic partnership with renowned companies for the students to get hands-on training which are essential for further in their career. SIHS also has collaboration with the Georgia State University, USA to promote knowledge exchange and foster cultural partnership. Economic Times has ranked the institute amongst the top 4 colleges in India for healthcare management.
2. Placements:
SIHS has an excellent placement record of 100% since its inception. Since the institution began functioning, all the students have been placed successfully with names such as Accenture, Aditya Birla, Apollo, Cognizant, Columbia Asia, Deloitte, Fortis, ICICI Lombard, Indus Health, Jaslok, Jehangir, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Reliance Insurance, Siemens, Wockhardt, Rockland, Markets and Markets, NHSRC, Medanta, Gleneagles Global Hospital.
3. Infrastructure:
SIHS has great infrastructure which not just is limited to academics but beyond that as well. Equipped with advanced classrooms, labs, seminar rooms, recreational facilities, the college aims to provide a wholesome college experience. In addition, Symbiosis has a motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which translates to world as one family and hence finds a culture of students from different parts of the country and the world to study at SIHS.
4. Location:
The college is located in Pune, which has recently been featured in the cities with the great quality of living index. A thorough cosmopolitan, the city is well connected, offers a great weather through the year and has a fine blend of students and people from all parts of the globe.
In conclusion, I’d like to opine that both the institutes in question i.e. IIHMR and SIHS are great choices to make your career in the healthcare industry. However, with the reasons I have mentioned above, SIHS gains a slight edge and hence sees admissions from various parts of the world. Hope my answer has helped to solve your confusions regarding which institute to choose.
