my 10th standard score is below 55%, and 12th standard score is below 65%, and graduation in b.com is below 80% so what cat percentile require to get admission in iim or other top b school

Anurag Khanna 3rd Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Honestly speaking, it would be tad difficult for you to get call from top IIMs such as IIM A/B/C, this is because your academic performance is not quite good, so to have some chances you should try for 100 percentile in CAT if you belongs to General category, because your academic performance might not be able to push your chances of shortlisting so you have to make it through CAT score.

Why I am saying above point, let's understand with the admission criteria of some top IIMs

IIM Ahmedabad

Admission process for IIM A is a two step process. First step is for preliminary screening on the basis of Sectional cut-offs and overall cut-offs along with different rating points for IIM A which are described in the tables below and you need to clear sectional cut-off as well as Overall cut-off :-

Anurag Khanna 25th Feb, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

For admission to IIMs, with such academic record and SC category you should secure at least 97+ percentile in CAT then you would have good chances to get a call from some top IIMs like IIM A/B/C although expected cut-offs for such IIMs are very low around 70 for SC candidates but that is merely the qualifying cut-offs.
