I did my diploma in civil engineering and then joined L&T. Its been 3 years while working here in supervisory cadre and now Im doing my bachelors degree in civil engineering will my work ex count for IIMs ? Does the work ex only counts after Graduation?

Piyush kesarwani 17th May, 2022

Hello aspirant,

YES, your work Experience do actually counts for getting admisisons in various IIMs of India.

In addition to the number of years (quantity) of work experience you have had , the IIMs will also be interested in the kind of work you have done (quality). This might account for an edge in the interviews. So, work in the quality of work and gain as much experience you can have while doing your graduation as well. This will help you in long term.

Further, to know more about the IIM colleges and Admission you can follow the below mentioned link to know more about it : https://bschool.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-top-iim-colleges-in-india

I hope that this will help.

I have 78%in 10th,88% in 12th,currently in 1st year of btech from djsanghvi ,can I get call from old iims like k,l ,spjain etc

dhanshree1501 16th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

I hope that you are doing well.

IIMs are one of the most prestigious institutes in the whole country. They are well known for their brand value and highly equipped staff. Since the demand for the admission is so vast that the seats are very limited, hence getting in isn't a slice of cake.

Normally cutoffs for OBC are lower than general, but not by a great extent. So the expected cutoff might be 94-97.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Thank you
