No the two cases are different. If you want to do BTech in IIT then you have to pass you class 10+2 exam with 75% marks and by qualifying JEE MAINS and ADVANCED.

Hello Aspirant,

You have to get 75% aggregate in inter 2nd year exams.

JoSAA considers inter 2nd year marks ONLY for boards having (10+2) system.

(10+2) systems means boards having inter 1st year and inter 2nd year exams(example-telangana,AP etc) unlike CBSE system which has only 12th(inter 2nd year) exams.
