Each IIT and NIT has its own cut off.It varies from branch to branch and it is diferent for each category.So to predict the last rank would be difficult.And the admission is given based on GATE score.However, a score above 650 will give you decent chances of getting seat

As per the previous year cutoff, Based on this rank the chances are less to get a seat for M.Sc Chemistry in IITs however you can get a seat in NITs like NIT Agartala, NIT Cailicut, NIT Durgapur Etc. for M.Sc Chemistry programme.

Sorry to say but with these marks you havent crossed the cutoff of this year for chemistry which is 18.22 if you belong to general category.

But do not refrain there are various other exams you can give such as the BHU exam, JNU,Jamia they all have their own

Taking 2019 cut off trends into consideration you may get seat in VLSI in

  • IIT, Guwahati
  • NIT, Trichy
  • NIT, Surthakal

But cut off is subjected to change depending on number of candidates appeared, number of seats available, difficulty of examination and other factors.

see since you did not qualify the cutoff marks you are not eligible for counselling. however except iits, there is many good university is available in india which provides msc admission, like banaras hindu university, delhi university, calcutta university, central universities of India, you may also apply for this

Hope you are doing well.

Among IITs, IIT Bombay will be best option for your daughter but keep in mind NID is also one of the top Institute in India.  If she can get that college then what could be the better option.
