I am getting(female) 3528 obc rank in iit jee main 2021 admission got computer science and engineering courses jn NIT Home state in tamilnadu

Harsha Sinha 18th Sep, 2021

Hi there,

Your obc category rank is good but even though you belong to Tamil Nadu still the home state qouta won't be enough to get you the cse branch. You can get other branches but getting cse is quite difficult.

There are other nits where you might have a chance of getting cse but the probability is very low and you have to go through the last rounds of counselling too.

You can look for the colleges where you can get cse using our college predictor tool

IS NEHA SHARES MAM BEST FOR IIT JEE MAIN IN JEE 2022??

Shja 15th Jul, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

I want to tell you that no teacher can assure that you will get admission in IIT's or any good college through JEE Mains. Teachers just provide you help and support. You need to work hard to ace this exam. There are different help books and study material you should do. Exam preparation is a responsibility that should be taken by the student. Only you are responsible for your results. You need to take your decisions wisely about which coaching institute to join and which teacher helps you more.
The teacher you just mentioned might be helpful to you but she isn't the best and infact no one is. No one knows it all.
I am providing you a link which you should check out to kickstart your preparation.

on what basis should IIT jee main results determined....?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 23rd Jun, 2021

hi,

I assume you are asking about jee advance test which was earlier known as IIt jee main, you are only eligible to appear in jee advance test if you have the certain cutoff score determined by the exam authority as eligibility score to appear in jee advance test. jee advance test is for admission to b.tech course in IITs . There are 23 total numbers of IIT present in India. jee advance questions will be based on physics, chemistry and mathematics. there is two papers i.e paper 1 and paper 2, each of the paper  has PCM.

Both the papers will have 3 sections to attempt:

Paper 1-

Physics

Chemistry

Mathematics

Paper 2-

Physics

Chemistry

Mathematics

the marking scheme is considered as  full, partial and zero marks to secured as per answers attempted by the students. based on score in both of the paper score and rank would be determined. based on students category cutoff marks would depends.

how should we prepare for iit jee advanced 2021 maths in 3 months? if our basics are clear and from where should we solve sums or solve any book?

Anurag Khanna 21st Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See there are total 23 IITs in India which itself are the most prestigious engineering institutions of India but among them also there are some best IITs such as IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur and so on. Now to get into such IITs for B.Tech course you need to have good rank around in top 2000 in JEE-Advance and to be eligible to appear in JEE-Advance you should clear the JEE-Main at least with the qualifying cut-off of JEE-Main of that year. To secure such rank in JEE-Advance one should follow the right and smart track of preparation because only hard work will not work in the huge competition of today's life. So I am enlisting down some smart preparation tips which will help you in your preparation of JEE-Advance especially for Mathematics section so that you can give your best in JEE-Advance :-

  • Very first thing is go through the syllabus of Mathematics of JEE-Advance and categorize it as easy, average and difficult. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-syllabus
  • In Mathematics all focus should be on numerical because only numerical are asked in JEE-Advance based on the different concepts so you should have thorough knowledge of all the concepts of class 11th and 12th at least.
  • Go for the best study material which can make you more confident while solving the question of JEE-Advance because it will boost your moral so in the last of this answer I will give you the list of some best books for JEE-Advance.
  • Start solving numerical from any of the topics from enlisted books because all are standard ones :-
  1. Plane Trigonometry and Coordinate Geometry (Two Books) by S.L Loney
  2. Problems in Calculus Of One Variable by I.A.Maron
  3. Integral Calculus for IIT-JEE by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)
  4. A Text Book of Algebra For JEE Main & Advanced by Dr. SK Goyal (Arihant Publications)

Some best books for JEE-Advance for other two topics are :-

@Physics

  • Concepts of Physics by H C Verma (Vol-1 and Vol-2)
  • Fundamentals of Physics by David Halliday/Resnick/Walker

@Chemistry

  • Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
  • Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by R.C. Mukherjee
  • Organic Chemistry by O.P. Tandon
  • Organic Chemistry by Paula Bruice Yurkanis

should i start to solve cengage maths books from march 2021 for iit jee advanced 2021?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 19th Feb, 2021

Hi aspirant!

Before solving the questions from any advanced level or reference book, make sure that you have good grip over your concepts/fundamentals. Cangage is a good book and covers questions of almost each type. It also contains a good number of questions, but there are many cases in which a student loses interest in the subject by solving same type questions on same topic. So, I'll suggest you to skip the questions of same type and cover more questions of different patterns or concepts. Also, the book contains solutions for each question, I'll recommend you to solve the questions without seeing the answer, this will help you making your thinking process better.

Thankyou!

i get very hard to solve functions sums ??? if not able to solve whr will i stuck in future chapters?

Aastha jain 12th Jun, 2020

Hi Akanksha

Functions is a very fundamental topic in Mathematics. It lays foundation for several topics including those of calculus and inverse trigonometry. I would suggest you to try your best in understanding the chapter. From competitive exams point of view, functions is a very important chapter even on it's own, and can really help you get good marks.
