Hi, I had a question related to colleges in india. my daughter is US citizen and moved to India for 7th grade. she has PIO issued in 2012, Converted to OCI in 2022. My question is: does she has to apply only in NRI quotae for NEET/JEE,or is she eligible for PIO/OCI quota?

AKKSHEETHA M 30th Nov, 2025

Hello,
Many private and government-affiliated institutions in India have specfial quotas for foreign nationals.
Admission under this category usually depends on her valid passport or citizenship status and her qualifying exam. Some colleges may also require entrance exams, depending on the course.
Hope this helps you.

Hey, my results are making me feel like i wont pass the neet exam with enough marks to get mbbs college in india so, tell me best country and options to pursue mbbs from

ABINAYA VARSHINI A D 3rd Dec, 2025

If you feel so then you can still build a strong medical career by studying MBBS abroad.

Many countries offer affordable fees, English -medium teaching and good recognition for FMGE?NExT exam in India.

The most preferred options:

  • Russia
  • Uzbekistan
  • Kazakhstan
  • Kyrgyztan
  • Georgia
  • Philippines

Provides structured MBBS programs, reasonable living costs and large Indian student communities.

If you want higher clinical exposure, you can consider Nepal or Bangladesh, fees are relatively higher.

Before choosing a country, check if the universities are listed in the WHO and NMC databases.
