Hello aspirant,
Yes, a female with a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) background is eligible to join the flying branch of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), is the method of selection for the IAF's Flying branch.
The next step after completing high school is to obtain a graduating degree from an accredited university in any discipline. In the meanwhile, you can begin getting ready for the CDSE exam, which entails a written test followed by a personal interview and a medical exa m.
During your graduation, you can enlist in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing, which will improve your chances of being chosen for the Flying branch. You can submit an application for the CDSE exam once you have earned your diploma. You can join the IAF's Flying branch after passing the test and the succeeding phases.

Hello sir,
There is obviously an opportunity for you to sit for the examination, provided the maximum age concession of 5 years for ex-servicemen who have rendered a minimum of 5 years of military service (according to the Re-employment in Central Civil Services and Posts Rules, 1979). Ex-servicemen has no such bar on number of attempts till they reach the age limit. There are similar other relaxations for candidates of backward classes as well.
Hope it helps. Good luck !
Hello Sir,
If you wish to apply for the PCS J exam, you must satisfy all the required criteria. The eligibility criteria are categorized into different parameters such as age limit, educational qualification, nationality, character, etc. Your candidature can be canceled if you fail to meet the given requirements.
1. The UPSC PCS J examination requires the minimum age of the candidate, while filling the application form to be 22 years, and maximum age to be 35 years.
2. However, the commission gives a certain age relaxation to SCs, STs, OBCs, Ex-serviceman, emergency commissioned officers, and short service commissioned officers, and Physically handicapped citizens.
3. Since you are an ex- serviceman retired from the Indian Air Force, you will be granted an age relaxation of more than 5 years. Thus, you are eligible for this exam and can easily appear for it.
Hope this helps!
Good luck!
