This can be very from college to college so if want to ask about iit or nit then definitely their is a concession in fees for low income family. To get this concession and scholarship benefit then you have to submit your income certificate any other required documents.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Some IIITs such as IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bhuwaneshwar etc are far more better than the lower NITs with a more better campus life as well as placements. You haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, if you belong to General Category, the chances of a seat in IIT or IIITDM are less. For that matter, any NIT or IIT is going to be tad tough with this score. But if you belong to Reserved Categories, you might have a chance in:

NIT Puducherry

SVNIT, Surat

MANIT, Bhopal

Being a freshly started college, it does not boast its placements compared to the IITs and NITs but it certainly remains top compared to other regional colleges in the state.
Placement is good and many companies have came to the college and many students have placed in the placement. The average package is 3.3L and the highest package is 9L. The company's like Asoka Leyland, TCS, and etc have visited . For mechanical they have got Ford,l&t, SVP lasers , Saint gobain etc.

IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Kancheepuram are both highly esteemed and prestigious universities that are sought after by aspiring students.
There really isn't much difference between these two as they are the same institute only in different locations.
The faculty in both are highly experienced and punctual, the infrastructure is good in both, the placements are provided to the students, internships are also provided by the college to the students.
IIIT Kancheepuram was set up in 2007 whereas IIIT Guwahati was set up in 2013 so this gives IIIT Kancheepuram an advantage as it already has a well-established reputation among companies which attracts more of them to offer jobs to the students. 
Both are equally good institutes and you need to decide which one is better for you based on location and facilities that you want.
