Admission in IIM depends on some factors and one of the important one is performance in CAT and personal interview, and the basic eligibility criteria is a bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university.

Hi. To write CAT, you require at least 50% in graduation . And if you belong to SC/ST, then you need at least 45% in graduation to write CAT. This is the minimum criteria for CAT.

You are falling into the eligibility criteria and you have to appear for entrance tests as well. They would consider both the scores and then make the final list.
You can also try other colleges if you want to so that you don't miss out a year or so.

I will talk about similarities first in both schools.Firstly, academic profiles of students. A does not necessarily have the best of the best of the lot. B students have stellar backgrounds too. Go by just numbers of general category students and you will realize that the lowest CAT percentile
