Indian Institute of Management Bangalore
Hi K,
Yes, you would need to pay the course fee once you are selected for admission by IIMB. The academic fee or course fee or tuition fee is Rs. 21 lakhs from this year. Most of the IIMs have increased their fee from this year citing the high operational cost. To know more about the fee at IIMs, kindly check the link below:

Based on your overall academic profile and category, you will need to score atleast 90 percentile to get a call for the next round of IIM Bangalore.
All the best!
I will talk about similarities first in both schools.Firstly, academic profiles of students. A does not necessarily have the best of the best of the lot. B students have stellar backgrounds too. Go by just numbers of general category students and you will realize that the lowest CAT percentile to get a B call this year was much lower than the lowest CAT Percentile to get an A call. But, the weightage given to 10th/12th/grad scores to land a B call is much higher than the weightage given by A. Even during the final stage, B gave a weightage of only 35% to both WAT/PI, and A gave 70%. Past record hence matters to B more than A (includes work ex and all non-WAT/PI scores). A lot of people who have slogged through (and are still slogging, it is not over) the long drawn-out B school interview season of 2014 will tell you that a B call is slightly more elusive than A. Point is simple. A stellar CAT score will make up for average acads (average for these two colleges means 75%-80% range) to get you an A call, but it might not be sufficient for B. Your hands are tied when it comes to B. Hence a B call is a little elusive. Do not think B is second string and you can have it easy there. That is stupid. Regarding work experience- B does have more candidates with work ex. Average work experience is high too. Freshers comprise roughly 19% of the batch in B. In A this number is roughly 25%. Faculty profiles They may be different in both, but quality is comparable. In some fields some profs take the cake but it all evens out. Unless you have a definite specialization in mind (For instance, Marketing is A, hands down), a definite career path chalked out and you really want to study some courses in one school taught by some amazing profs, faculty should not be a deciding factor. You have genuine quality in both schools.PlacementsWhen you have offers from one of the best schools in not just India, but Asia Pacific, you should have the confidence to make it through and make it for yourself- even without the best starting stellar campus job. They will give you somethi

Hi friend,
From my experience i can say that getting 99 percentile in CAT is not an easy job. Since each year CAT exams comes with new challenges. As well as attempting everything isnt its style since it has negative marks. Maybe after 2 or 3 years experience of writting CAT examination and well preperation you can achieve your goal.
I wish you goodluck!
Yes it is one of top MBA colleges not only in India but in Asia Pacific. I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.9 percentile to get a call for the next round.
