Can a student who has got less percentage in 12th class .but gets good percentile in cat can he be selected in iimb

Suraj Mallick 6th Jul, 2018

I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.9 percentile to get a call for the next round.

How much percentile is required to get a call from iim A,B,C,i. For SC category student.....?

Suraj Mallick 5th Jul, 2018

For top IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to have above 92+ percentile to get a call and above 95+ percentile to increase the probability of your conversion. For other old IIMs like IIM K, L and I you need to have above 85+ percentile and 90+ to increase the probability of your conversion. And for getting a call from new IIMs or ultra new IIMs you need to have 80+ percentile.

I check on CAT pathfinder,i have to gain atleast 70 prcntle in overall CAT for iim ahmdabd and 75 for iim bnglore. Is it true?

Suraj Mallick 5th Jul, 2018

Based on your past academic records and considering you have no work experience and belong to general category, only a 100 percentile can fetch you a call from IIM A. Even a 100 percentile may not be enough for a IIM B call.

How would be the selection process in IIMB after u get a call for ?

Anonymous 21st Nov, 2017

After you appear for the CAT exam, IIMB uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in school, high school and graduation programmes as well as candidate’s scores in CAT/GMAT to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP programme. Relevant work experience is also given weightage. Multiple criterias are used to arrive at a composite score for every candidate, which is used to select candidates for the subsequent stage.

The admission rounds also includes personal interview and written ability rounds. And further they approach the students shorlisted after all the above rounds. This is the complete procedure.

Good Luck.
