IIMC is conducted for admission to postgraduate diploma program in journalism with its following campuses;

IIMC Dhenkanal
IIMC Aizawl
IIMC Amravati
IIMC Jammu
IIMC Kottayam

IIMC doesn't have its campus in Kolkata, so you can't get admission there, however if you're interested to give this exam,you may choose any of the aforementioned campus.

The selection process of an IIMs is extremely rigorous which requires lots of preparation specially in Ahmedabad Bengaluru n Calcutta.

As you have mentioned your 10th and 12th CGPA is fair enough. But for science stream student in graduation 70 percentile is required (For SC).

You have decent academics score and thus your entrance exam score will decide majorly your admissions to top MBA colleges. So focus on your CAT and other exams. For IIM Calcutta it's top iim and thus cutoff is high. For foreign colleges GMAT score is considered with good academics.

see maulana abul kalam ajad universiy is newly shifted to haringhata, however the university is old and have more than 100 colleges of engineering has its affiliation. since it is the main campus the faculty are experienced and lab technology is excellent. some new courses like data science has included as bachelors curriculum, MAKAUT has been ranked 165 by NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) among all the engineering colleges in India

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology will conduct the MAKAUT CET Exam 2020 in Offline mode. There will be 50 Questions in the MAKAUT WB CET Exam 2020. Candidates are given 90 minutes to complete the West Bengal CET Exam 2020. For every correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded which means WBUT CET Exam 2020 will be conducted for 100 marks. MAKAUT CET Exam 2020 consists of 5 Group but as you said you want to get into BSc data science which comes under group A.

When I went to give my CET exam, I literally had no preparation. I just did some logical reasoning questions and that's it.

In CET , the level of questions are not so high and it can be solved easily. You can pass it easily.

MAKAUT Conducts CET in different phases –

#1. MAKAUT CET – I indicate the FIRST phase – It is usually conducted in April.

#2. MAKAUT CET – II indicates the SECOND phase – It is usually conducted in June. In phase l and ll, around 9k students sit for the exam.

#3. MAKAUT CET – III indicates the THIRD phase – It is usually conducted in August.

In this phase less numbers of students sit for the exam(approx 7-8k students).

As per your 12th result and your category, you can easily crack the exam and opt for your course. As you know, this exam is not so tough.

see data science and statistics have some similarities , but the career growth of view data science is better option then statistics, since it has some programming languages is added in syllabus, ilead is affiliated by makaut, kolkata, and according to students review has excellent placement record, almost 70% students get placed and have roles as data analytics, data scientist positions.
