In CET , the level of questions are not so high and it can be solved easily. You can pass it easily.

MAKAUT Conducts CET in different phases –

#1. MAKAUT CET – I indicate the FIRST phase – It is usually conducted in April.

#2. MAKAUT CET – II indicates the SECOND phase – It is usually conducted in June. In phase l and ll, around 9k students sit for the exam.

#3. MAKAUT CET – III indicates the THIRD phase – It is usually conducted in August.

In this phase less numbers of students sit for the exam(approx 7-8k students).

As per your 12th result and your category, you can easily crack the exam and opt for your course. As you know, this exam is not so tough.

i have passed class 12 and i will do Mba. i would get admission in iim Calcutta or fms delhi. so what should i do from here to get their. Like could share some advice

Sunil Kumar singh 18th Mar, 2020

Hi dear,

First you should complete your graduation with good academics and participate in your college events. After completing graduation you have to appear in CAT and score a very good percentile more than 99. IIMs takes admission on the basis of CAT percentile. In FMS Delhi the admission is based on 70 percent CAT score and 30 percent GD.

Hope it helps.

10th/12th/B.tech = 87.4/79/78.2 General+Engg.+Male, 1.8 yrs Exp. Hw much percentile shuld i score to get IIM and othr gud MBA clgs?

srikar kanakala 16th Mar, 2020
Hi Aman,

You have a very decent academic record which have chances of getting a seat in a good MBA institute. You have good work experience also but it would have been better if it was 24 months i.e 2- years as it is the span of work experience which evryone considers as ideal work experience. You don't have any problem even if you have 1.8 years work experience it's quite enough to raise your bar while applying for an admission.

If you are aiming for IIM's you definitely need to have CAT percentile above 99 or atleast 98 Irrespective of your category. Even 99 isn't a promising percentile for tier-1 IIMs. Besides CAT percentile there are lots of factors involved in the selection process for IIMs. CAT score helps you to proceed to the next step in the admission process and plays a nominable role in the selection process. There are many aspirants who scored above 99 percentile and didn't receive a call for next step from any of the IIMs. Whatever it is better to score  percentile above 99.

For other MBA institutions CAT percentile above 90 will be a promising score. Every institution doesn't maintain same cut-off, so if you maintain above 90 you can meet the criteria of most of the colleges. Apart from IIMs there are many good colleges for MBA.
