Sorry to inform you but you don't seem to have a decent academics to get calls from IIMs. Despite your OBC status, a score of 70% + in your academics along with 97/98 percentile could have helped you get a call from the baby IIMs too.

However don't get disheartened. Aim for 99 percentile. There might be chances of calls from the new IIMs or other equally good management colleges.

You should try to score more than 98 percentile then only you can secure a rank in CAT exam.

Before proceeding to the possibility of your admission in IIM Shillong you should know some major changes in admission process made by IIM Shillong in this year, the changes are as follows :-

• Now the minimum percentage criteria for candidates to score in 10th and 12th and graduation has been removed for shortlisting them for the PI round has been removed. Now you just have passed class 10th and 12th.
• The weightage of GD for preparing final shortlist is now removed. The selection will now entirely depend on the CAT score and PI.

Now the admission process of IIM Shillong is a 2-phase process in which Phase 1 is for shortlisting of candidates for PI (Personal Interview) round on the basis of his/her CAT score whereas Phase 2 is for preparation of final Merit List on the basis of score of PI and CAT score of the candidate.

First off, UPSC has got nothing towith CAT. Both of them are different and so you cannot compare UPSC and CAT cut off. These are the expected cut offs for IIM Shillong:

IIM Shillong is better because it has emerged with the better return on investment, through the difference in marginal which is compared to SIBM Pune. This institute which significantly charge more higher fees which has larger number of recruiters on campus.

With 82.92 percentile in CAT and as you have mentioned your academics and it is more than average and also your work experience will be beneficial for you,there are some chances that you will get call from these colleges.It all depends on the sectional cut off in all 3 sections of CAT.
