Are history of arrears consider in iims selection process?

Mansi Singh 25th May, 2019
Yes, the history of arrears affect the IIM Selection process. They check your marks of 10th, 10+2 and Graduation. The backlogs might put bad impression during PI round. But still you are eligible and you may give entrance and might be shortlisted. So give it a chance and prepare yourself to face questions regarding history of arrears in PI. If you will be able to face them then you may get through IIM. Many people have been in IIM with their history of arrears.

Iam OC student, Is there fee concession for IIM IPM,if we get merit marks in IPMAT.?

Akshat Shah 20th May, 2019

IIM Indore provides some sort of relaxation in fees for financially poor students. And also provides them many free facilities for the initial three years of the course. Need based Financial Assistance (NBFA). This is a fee waiver based on the income level of the parent. All students whose family income is less than 4.5L per annum are eligible. The amount of fee waiver depends on factors like how low the family income.

Also ,the Institute awards an INR 1.5 lakhs Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance in the 4th Year of Integrated Programme in Management at the end of 5 years.

It may be tough to arrange funds for the exorbitant fees of IIM. But don't worry there are various educational Loans available for a aspiring student. The interest rates are also very less. You can get loans upto 80–90% of your fees. And this debt can be easily paid off once you are placed after completing your course.

So, Fees should not be the thing to worry about.

Stay happy and motivated always.

Hi,I am from non- engineering background and have two years of work experience and I am planning for CAT 2019.But I have very poor academic.

aman kumar 19th May, 2019
Hi

Criteria for cat 2019

1. A candidate is eligible to appear in CAT 2019 if he/she holds a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories, need at least 45% marks.
2. The degree must have been awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
3. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree or equivalent examination and those who have already completed degree examinations but are awaiting results are also eligible. Such candidates, if qualified, will be allowed to join the course conditionally, only if they produce a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution.
The candidate needs to submit the certificate by June 30, 2019 (issued on or before June 30, 2019) stating that the candidate has fulfilled all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
4. The percentage of marks will be calculated based on the calculation pattern followed by the concerned University/Institution.
In case of CGPA or grades, the conversion is based on the process defined by the concerned university or institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting grades/CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate's CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Some more eligibility facts for CAT 2019:

You can appear for CAT even if you have done graduation in the old system of graduation, provided that UGC recognises the degree.
Mere fulfilment of minimum CAT eligibility criteria will not ensure shortlisting by IIMs.
The candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
There is no age bar to appear for CAT exam.

I passed my class 10 from cbse with 60% and class 12 with 47.8 mark but if i will pass my B.A. with 50 could iligible for cat exam

Jesin J 7th May, 2019
Hello Kuja. The basic necessity to write the cat exam, is that, you should have at least 50% in your graduation. If you are in the final year, you should have at least 50% marks, till you apply for cat, i.e., for a 3 year graduation course,  if you are in final year, and are applying for cat, then you should have at least 50% marks till 2nd year.
So yes, with 50% in graduation, you can apply for cat. So prepare well, and score high.
All the best.

I wanna be a Top level manager in any reputed comp. so, is there any benifit if i do CA course with my B.Com ?

YASH DOSHI 6th Apr, 2019
You should consider giving MBA entrances alongside pursuing CA because as CA won't give you management roles it has a different scope and dimension altogether .
