IISC provides admission to UG courses on the basis of National level exams like KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advance & NEET. You have to appear any one of he national level entrance exams. The authority will release the cut off marks category-wise for all the exams separately For PG admission like M.tech/ M.Des./M.Mgt, Ph.D./ M.Sc and Ph.D. programmes you have to fill its application form.

Indian Institute of Science is the premier institute in India which offers a variety of science courses like Mtech in various disciplines and facilitates research in a multitude of disciplines. The Institute offers an undergraduate programme , Bsc (Research). Such a degree offers 6 major discplines : Biology, Chemistry , Physics, Mathematics, Earth &Environmental Science and Materials, and the chosen discipline will appear in the ceritifcate issued at the end of the course.
The eligiblity criteria for the same is as follows:
Candidates who have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2015 and those who are expecting to complete their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2016 are eligible to apply. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their II PUC / 12th Standard. Candidates who have studied Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The candidates must have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates) in the II PUC / 12th Standard examination.
In addition to fulfilling the bove criteria, prospective students need to appear in atleast one of the three national level entrance examinations : KVPY (Kishor Vaygynik Protsahan Yojana),IIT-JEE (Main and Advanced) or NEET. The institute will then make use of the merit lists of these exams to admit students into the program. You should also apply for the progamme online.
The minimum scores that is required in IIT JEE and NEET exam to be considered for admission in IISc is as follows:
IT-JEE (Main): 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH)
IIT-JEE (Advanced): 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH)
NEET: 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH)
As mentioned before it is important for the students to not merely appear and score the required marks , but also apply online in the offcial website of IISc.This year the appplication were received from 1 February - 30 April 2018. The first set of admission offers will be made to KVPY candidates and this year it was done in May 2018. Additional offers will be made in June and July.
