Question : Directions: Arrange the given words in the sequence in which they occur in the dictionary.
1. Rangle
2. Regal
3. Royal
4. Room
5. Rested

Option 1: 15432

Option 2: 45312

Option 3: 12543

Option 4: 13542

Team Careers360 23rd Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 12543

Solution : Given:
1. Rangle 2. Regal 3. Royal 4. Room 5. Rested

Step 1: Compare the first letter of each word. Since all the words start with the same letter R, then move to the next letter.
Step 2: The second letter of each word is – a, e, o, o, e. Based on the alphabetical order of these letters, we can arrange them – Rangle, Regal, Rested, Royal, Room.
Step 3: Compare the third letter of (Regal, Rested) and (Royal, Room). Regal will come before Rested in the sequence as g comes before s in the alphabetical system. Similarly, Room will come before Royal in the sequence as o comes before y in the alphabetical system.

The sequence will be Rangle, Regal, Rested, Room, Royal, or 12543. Hence the third option is correct.

Question : Directions: In the following question, some parts of the sentence have errors, and some are correct. Find out which part of the sentence has an error. The number of that part is the answer. If a sentence is error-free, your answer is "No Error".

A large (1) / consignment of books (2) / are expected. (3) / No Error (4)

Option 1: 1

Option 2: 2

Option 3: 3

Option 4: 4

Team Careers360 23rd Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: 3

Solution : The error lies in the third part of the sentence.

Explanation: The subject "consignment" is a singular noun, so the verb should also be singular. In this case, "is" is the correct singular verb form, making the sentence grammatically accurate. The incorrect form "are" is the plural verb form and it doesn't agree with the singular subject "consignment".

Therefore, the correct sentence should be: "A large consignment of books is expected."
