Hi Vishnu, IIST, Thiruvanandapuram has 3 courses in the under graduate level. 4 year B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering 4 year B.Tech in ECE (Avionics specialisation) 5 year Dual degree (B.Tech + M.S or Mater of Technology) The 5 year Dual degree program leads to B.Tech in Engineering Physics and any one of the PG Degree specialisations: Master of Science (Astronomy & Astrophysics), Master of Technology (Earth System Science), Master of Science (Solid State Physics), Master of Technology (Optical Engineering) There is no exit option after 4 years.
The admission is through JEE (Advanced) scores.
In case of a PG Degree,
There are various specialisations and admission is through GATE Scores and Interview.

For admission in Indian institute of space science and technology, trivannntapuram through your jee advance marks .
As you should know that the merit list for this college remain very high every year. So you should have a rank somewhere under 500 to fet admission there through your jee exam.
The procedure goes same like that of IITs through jee advanced i.e through counselling seat allotment process.

Indian institute of space science and technology offers 15 M.Tech programmes and each program has 6 seats.
Admission: Exam name is IIST M.Tech. Admissions will be done on the basis of GATE score, interview, and the written exam. Fee for submitting the application is Rs.600 per department, whereas for SC/ST/PD and women candidates it is only Rs.300.
Important dates: Online application forms are available on the website now and will be available till 30th April 2019. A list of short listed candidates will be displayed in May or June depending on the programme you have opted for. All selected students will have to report to the institute in third week of July 2019 as the classes will commence from 22July 2019.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), admits students to UG courses on the basis of their performance in CBSE’s JEE Main. For the M.Tech courses, the institute invites application and considers valid GATE scores as a very important criteria for admission.
For UG courses:
B.Tech./ Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.S./M.Tech.) Application starts on June 05, 2019 and closes on June 15, 2019
For PG courses:
M. Tech. and M.S.(Regular) application starts on April 13, 2019 and closes on April 30, 2019
