No, scoring less marks or failing in one subject in your class 12 pre-boards will not directly affect your eligibility criteria for JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, or admission to IIST.
Here's why:
Eligibility for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced: These exams have their own specific eligibility criteria based on your qualifying exam (Class 12 board exams) and not your pre-board performance. As long as you meet the minimum marks requirement in your Class 12 boards , you can appear for these exams.
Admission to IIST: IIST considers your JEE Advanced rank for admission to their undergraduate programs. Your pre-board marks do not play any role in the selection process.
However, it's important to remember that:
Pre-boards are a valuable practice tool: They help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, assess your exam preparedness, and get familiar with the exam format. While not directly impacting eligibility, poor performance in pre-boards might indicate areas needing improvement for the actual JEE exams.
Focus on improvement: Use your pre-board results as a learning opportunity. Analyze your mistakes, identify the subjects or topics you struggled with, and work on strengthening your understanding in those areas. This will help you perform better in the actual JEE exams and increase your chances of securing admission to IIST.
Therefore, while pre-board marks are not a deciding factor for eligibility, they can serve as a valuable indicator of your preparation and highlight areas requiring improvement. So, focus on learning from your mistakes and strive to improve your performance in the upcoming exams.

Hello,
The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology will conduct the IIST B.Tech 2022 admission in online mode. Candidates will be able to apply for IIST B.Tech admission 2022 at the official website- iist.ac.in. Candidates should have at least 75% aggregate marks in class 12 board to be eligible for the admissions if you belong to general category. Hello aspirant,
You can directly give JEE Mains and JEE Advanced in 2023 , skipping of JEE Mains in 2022 will cost you one attempt down out of 3 attempts in 3 consecutive years. After qualifying JEE Mains only then you can appear in JEE Advanced entrance exam.
Yes, if you have valid score then you'll be eligible for IIST if you directly write JEE Mains and JEE Advanced in 2923 without attempting in 2022.

Hi aspirant,
At first it is all ok if you are not prepared and do not want to appear for the examination but it's recommended to atleast appear in the same so that you can be aware of difficulty level and type of questions asked. In order to be eligible for JEE main or advanced examination the basic criteria is that the candidate must have completed intermediate with PCM as subjects generally with 75 percentage aggregate. Also he or she can only appear for JEE main in consecutive 3 and JEE advanced in consecutive 2 years starting from the year of intermediate examination. So you can directly appear in JEE main and advanced 2023 even if do not appear for the sessions this year.
You can know more about the same at JEE Main 2023 - Dates, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Eligibility, Application Form (careers360.com)
Hope it helps!

At first it is all ok if you are not prepared and do not want to appear for the examination but it's recorded to atleast appear in the same so that you can be aware of difficulty level and type of questions asked. Now to be eligible for jee main or advanced examination the basic criteria is that the candidate must have completed intermediate with PCM as subjects generally with 75 percentage aggregate. In addition, he or she can only appear for JEE main in consecutive 3 and JEE advanced in consecutive 2 years starting from the year of intermediate examination.
So you can directly appear in JEE main and advanced 2023 without appearing this year.
If you pass 10+2 in the year 2022 then you are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2022, JEE Main 2023 and JEE Main 2023 because a candidate can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination that is 10+2 or its equivalent. And you can appear for JEE Advanced for two consecutive years from the year of passing in the qualifying examination so you can appear for JEE Advanced 2022 and JEE Advanced 2023 provided you must qualify in JEE Main 2022 and JEE Main 2023 respectively. This is applicable even if you do not appear for JEE Main 2022 and JEE Advanced 2022, you can appear for JEE Main 2023 and qualify in it to appear for JEE Advanced 2023. The admission in to IIST is based on JEE Advanced score. So you can JEE Main 2023 and qualify in it to appear for JEE Advanced 2023 in order to apply for admission in to IIST.
