Which is better in CSE Nit Trichy or Iit BHU

Manas Daspriya 9th Oct, 2021

Dear aspirant,

Both the colleges you mentioned were great institutions for academics.

You can choose any of them for further education.

I have described both the institutions according to academics and placements for CSE branch, hope it will help you.

NIT TRICHY has accreditation from UGC and affiliation from the All India Council for Technical Education. It has 17 departments that offer undergraduate and graduate programmes in engineering, management, humanities, and architecture. The classrooms have a good infrastructure, some with air-conditioners and 24x7 Wi-Fi available. There is also a huge library and the hostel facilities were also good.

Placements : Almost every year, about 80% of students get placements in Intel, Microsoft, Infosys and Google from the college. The average salary package offered is around 8 LPA - 17 LPA.

what percentile and crl rank in jee advanced should anyone get to be eligible for iit bhu mechanical engineering for general category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 21st Sep, 2021

Hi

There's no percentile in jee advanced. There's only rank.

This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------)  number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,

----------)  kind of marks obtained by them ,

----------)   toughness level of the examination ,

----------)  number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling,  2020 , 5700  rank in jee advanced for general category  closing rank for gender neutral in IIT bhu  for mechanical engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, for mechanical in iit bhu, you need to get at least around 5700 rank in jee advanced.

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee college predictor is provided below

Is MSc in CS (BHU) Students sit in IIT BHU placement ??

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2021

Hi Rinku!
Yes, IIT Varanasi (BHU) offers good placement opportunities especially to student of CS in the companies such as  HP, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Google, Microsoft , Facebook and many others with highest salary package 2 crores per annum till now and lowest salary package of 5 LPA. But students of MSc (CS) are least preferred by the recruiting companies as first preference is given to the students of B.Tech CSE.

So, yes placements are there for MSc students but less than compared to BTech students.

Hope I answered your query, thankyou!

NITK vs IIT BHU, which is better for MTech?

Purbayan Chatterjee 12th Aug, 2021

Hi Rajesh,

The answer to your question depends on the factors based on which you're judging the colleges. To start with, both of the institutes are amongst the best engineering institutes of India, and in fact, some of the surveys ranked NIT Trichy higher than IIT BHU, but that doesn't mean IIT BHU is less good.

IIT BHU is one of the oldest IITs and has state of the art labs and libraries, Sports and Research facilities, and excellent placements. Not to forget, the bright peer group you will be surrounded by.  And the most importantly the ‘IIT Tag’ that will make you most happy. Keeping in mind all of the above factors, IIT BHU will provide an unmatched experience for sure.

Now NIT Trichy won’t give you an IIT tag, but surely it would provide you with the best infrastructure and placement offers. Also, NIT Trichy has lower fees when compared to IIT BHU.

In the end, it all boils down to the fact what you really want... a branch of your choice or a college tag.

Choose wisely and all the best.
