Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
Metallurgy in iit bombay would be a better choice its not that iitk and iitm are not good but the fact that some of countries top minds aspire to come to iitb so the competition here is fierce which makes you work hard hence ultimately helps you to achieve you goals moreover the brand value of iitb is also great so iitb would be a good choice.
Dear aspirant,
As you have asked about admission fees in iit so I would be considering the b.tech fees for this. So, in every iit the fees including your hostel and mess is around 10-12L per annum.
The fees would be decreased on the basis of family annual income . Like.if your family income is less than 1L then your full tuition fees would be remitted and if your family income stays between 1L and 5L , 2/3 rd of the tuition fees is remitted.
Hi
This year the closing rank for OBC in computer science of IIT Bombay was 50. Remember that 50 is the category rank, not AIR. Hence you have to score atleast above 250 to get admission in IIT Bombay in computer science department.
Hope it helps
It depends on your interests. Both options are equally lucrative and have great career prospects. If you are interested in jobs in technical domain or want to do research in technical domain you should pursue M.Tech from IIT Bombay. And if you want to have a career in finance, marketing, consulting or any such domains, then you can go for an MBA in IIM A/B/C.
Hey
MDI Gurugram
Pros: No reservation, most of the students are 97+ percentilers, peers come from various fields, however more than 75 percent students are engineers
Faculty: MDI has professors who are leading names in their fields of research. Example: Prof. Rajesh Pilaniya who is a renowned professor in Strategy. He has written a book on Strategic Humor, which is very well received by layman and industry leaders alike. Placement: They claim the average package to be around 18 lacs per annum. Now, this figure may be inflated, but it's a fact that leading companies offer good profiles in finance such as JP, GS, Nomura, Langham, Stanchart, HSBC, etc., companies like P&G, Pepsi, etc. in marketing, and companies like Tata group, Airtel, etc. in general management.Only around 30 kms away from the national capital.
MDI for all specialisations except Operations from your list of colleges. For Operations, IIT B is better. None of the other colleges can boast of BCG and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as recruiters.
MDI has great finance placements in the non IIMA/B/C/FMS/XL category. JP, GS, Nomura, Langham, Stanchart, HSBC, ICICI and corp fin roles from the likes of Coca Cola. It does not compare well to IIMA/B/C/XL/FMS and SP Jain, but it is miles above the others on this list.
