Does IIT DELHI offers aerospace engineering I have dream of joining ISRO so,which IIT is best with best package and placements .

Abhishek Roy 14th Nov, 2020

ISRO recruits Mechanical , CSE and Electronics Students from Top IITs like Bombay and Kharagpur during the Campus Recruitment and rarely does open for Aerospace, Civil or Materials Engineering. Incase you are in a Top IIT and are interested in joining ISRO with Aerospace Major you need to separately apply through Vacancy Portals. More or less there are Vacancy Tenders round the year, though the preferred candidature is for Post Graduates.

If you are seriously interested in joining ISRO, you should apply for IIST Trivandrum. The Institute is directly under Department of Space, Government of India and is mentored by ISRO. More than half of its batch each year from Aerospace, Physics, Avionics and Electronics are directly inducted into ISRO, based on their performance.

my one brother wants to pursue his study in iit instituions. pls tell me how is iit Kharagpur and iit delhi in case of faculty and placement.

ankanghosh010 10th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirants,

If your brother has achieved a very good rank in JEE ADVANCE congratulations, you can get admission to IIT kharagpur as well as IIT delhi if your brother rank matches the cut-off marks. In case of faculties both the colleges are best as ex-IIT faculties teaches in NPTEL so no need to worry about that, also they provide live projects opportunities to students and internship facilities from 2nd year too which far better than a private college.

Hope his career would be in great hands.

what marks should I score in order to get a iit like iit Roorkee, iit delhi....in 2021?(OBC category student)

Sharon Rose Student Expert 6th Nov, 2020
Hello,

It is difficult to predict the marks because the total marks for JEE Advanced changes every year. If you belong to OBC-CL then you come under general category, in 2020 the cut off marks for general category was minimum 69 aggregate marks and 6 minimum marks. The total marks were 396 in 2020 considering this you need to score minimum 17.5% aggregate marks of total score to qualify but the chances are low to get seat in IIT if you just score cut off marks you need to score 45-50% total score to have decent chances of getting seat IIT of your choice.

If you come under OBC-NCL then you need to score 35-40% marks of total score. But this is based on this year data the total marks changes so the minimum marks that you have to score also changes. This is the estimated percentage of marks you may have to score.

iit delhi mechanical engineering , will average package increase after 4 years and scope of mechanical engineering will increase?

Apoorva Mishra 1st Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant, the mechanical engineering has vast scope in every field. They have plethora of opportunities in aerospace, chemical manufacturing plants, automobiles, railway coach factory, oil industries, reasearch and development etc. Apart from this, they have wide opportunities in PwD as well. So mechanical has high scope in near future. IIT Delhi offers average package of 9LPA. Highest package was of 45LPA. This keeps varying every year. So yes it can increase after 4 years.

Hope this helps.
