I have taken mechanical engineering in iit delhi will I have bright future and will I get job from company in iit delhi. is scope of mechanical engineering increasing or decreasing?

suprava.65 26th Oct, 2020
Dear Aspirant
There is future for mechanical engineers. You can sit in campus placements. Other than that there are a number of government jobs for which you can apply. Here are some of them
1. SSC - staff selection commission
2.  Indian Railways - There are positions like Railway division engineers for which you can apply
3. ISRO
4. PSU's ( Public Sector Units) -. IOCL, ONGC, BPCL,. HAL, HPCL. ( They offer great opportunities so you should definitely try it)
5.  UPSC - There are many job profiles for mechanical engineers
6.  State public commission jobs
7.  IES/  ESE
8. DRDO
9. BARC

These government jobs are very good if you want a secure and permanency in your position. You can start from a lower position and gradually go up the hierarchy and the pay scale is very good too.
I would suggest you to  definitely give it a try.
All the best!

iit delhi mechanical engineering is good or not.is this sector is increasing year by year? is placement % in iit delhi is increasing of mechanical engineering?

Aman Ghatiya 26th Oct, 2020

Hello ashisheeeeee , From some research on internet I found that IIT Delhi is one of best option for Mechanical engineering because it has good placement with approx. 15-20 lakh per annum and it is enough as a fresher. And if we talk about scope of mechanical engineering then it is also a wide range of fields in which Mechanical engineers work and the job opportunities are also increased by 9-10% in upcoming 5 years.

iit delhi mechanical engineering vs NSUT cse? I have interest in both. in which I have more paying job? my eyes are weak.which I should choose(future reference)

Rama Devi 24th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Between these two branches, cse of course had many more future options. As you might have heard these terms like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, Android Development, Web Development, Blockchain Development. You can see many other options as future for CSE. So CSE has more options when compared to Mechnical branch. But as you said you're having problems with your eyes so you can't pursue CSE as it involves sitting before laptop for studying/coding. So it's your choice of deciding to move with which branch. If you are good (as per health)  then you can go for Mechnical branch.

Revert back in comment section if you have any doubts regarding this.

iit delhi mechanical engineering vs NSUT cse in terms of placement and average salary. future aspects . in which I will be more profitable?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Oct, 2020
Hello,

Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT ), formerly known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) is a state-level university is arguably one of the best college for pursuing CSE and it is in same level as IITs. So in my opinion if you are getting cse then go for it because the placement is unmatchable in nsut for cse. However if your interest is in Mechanical engineering then you should better take IITD.

I hope this helps.

Mrinalini Sarkar 20th Oct, 2020

Hello,

IIT Delhi has taken various field and combined it under the electrical department.

This means that you have a good range of field to choose from for specialization. IIT Delhi provides a definite specialization in power and automation. The previous batches has been performing excellently so it still holds it name that many of the students are being accepted in IIMs and colleges abroad for consulting assignments and further study.

There is quite a good scope and IIT Delhi is a decent choice.

Hope it helps you.

Good luck.

sir I got 303252 rank in jee main 2020 and I am from sc category and live in delhi. I have filled jacdelhi councelling form . can I get admission in DTU,IITD,or NSUT?? I want to do btech.

ARYAN SAGAR 18th Oct, 2020
Dear student,

As you have secured 303252 CRL rank in jee mains then it is impossible for you to get any good nits or any iiits or any gftis.
Now as you reside in Delhi then still from your home state quota you cannot get DTU for NSIT Delhi. Because for getting these two reputed colleges to must have to secure at least under 30000 general category rank in jee mains even if you belong from home state. Now you have mentioned IITD , then it means you are asking about IIT Delhi, so for your kind information - IIT Delhi only accept JEE advanced rank. No IIT accepts JEE mains score for getting admission. You must have to secure a good JEE advanced rank for getting admission in any iit college. And talking about IIT Delhi then it is one of the top most engineering colleges in India and for this college you must have to secure at least under 3000 rank in JEE advanced.

If you want to do BTech then better you go for some other private colleges or take admission via management quota.
