Hello,
You can't get an admisson if you haven't qualified the JEE Advance with a good score. As per the score you have said, it won't be even possible to get a NIT college or IIIT. Better to look for private college and take an admission through counselling for which you may get a low fee structure. Competence has increased alot and it's seriously not that easy to get an IIT. It takes lots of effort to clear JEE Advance.
yoou can use CPGET rank to get into any college which accepts the entrance and government college is also possible.
Hope it helps!
Mtech. Mechanical has a total intake of 160 in which each specialization has 40 seats. Sadly the placement scenario here is not so good but now the situation is changed a bit after conversion of ISM to IIT.Last year upto 20 students were placed but only a few were placed in core companies. But i think in future the placement will going to be improved due to the IIT tag.
This tag also earns a respect in society.
So I can suggest you that if you are interested in that particular branch and not getting other better options then please go for it.
Hard work and a good skillset will definitely place you in some good firm.
Well borther, it depends on your own will
If you belive you can devote your entire year for JEE preparation and to get into your dream college, then I would suggest you to take a drop.
You have all the time to think, also let me tell you people with 2k, 2.5k and 4k rank students also drop. So don't think, getting a low rank had made you to take the choice.
Be brave and own a decision, brother!
You have scored very well in JEE MAINS but unfortunately for you, IITs consider only JEE ADVANCE marks for admission. If you have scored well in JEE advanced too the well and good, but without that, I can not really tell you if it is possible. But you can definitely get admission in NITs and IIITs with your excellent rank in JEE Mains. You can apply for these institues through JoSAA, and that can be done through the JEE mains website. NITs and IIIts are also government colleges and esteemed colleges. So if you get any of these don't leave the chance. You can get the list of Top NITs and IIITs, and you can prioritise between them considering all the things that you want in your college, including Branch and Fee Structure. These being government aided colleges don't have fees as high as that of private colleges. As you prioritise and enter the list in the JoSAA rounds, it automatically checks your rank and marks with the cutoff, and allot the college and course nearest to the top of your list. All the Best. Hope you get the college and stream that you want.
Hello Chinmay,
Your question is bit confusing because it is not clear that whether you are asking about Course fees at IIT or any other kind of fees like donation or anything else. Once you clear JEE Mains and Advance paper then you don't have to pay any other fees except the course fees at IIT which is in between Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 1.5 Lakhs depending on which branch you choose.
I hope it is helpful to you !
Opting M.Tech after B.Tech is a good choice. This increases your knowledge and experience of working with tools. Which ultimately add a positive point for your placements. You would get a good and higher post if your are a PG candidate. And you may also get an opportunity to work in foreign for the particular company.
