For doing MTech. from IIT's, you need to clear GATE examination. Student of final and graduated students are eligible to appear in GATE exam. Forms for GATE exam usually come in month of September.

Firstly for getting admission in iit your will have to appear for jee mains exam amd for that you will have to qualify 10+2 with good marks with science stream  from recognised board. And after 12th appear for jee mains exam and on basis of marks obtained in jee

M.Tech from IIT is a very good option and you should not find any difficulty in placement if you have the desired skills and capabilities. For placements, what matters the most is knowledge.
You will have to qualify the GATE exam and have valid score for admission to IIT.
