Hi,
You qualified jee advance so you are eligible to take admission in IIT but this will be based on your rank.

As per your rank its difficult to get iit but as this year reservation for girls is introduced so there is possibility.

As per my knowledge Marine engineering course is not available in IITs & NIT but similar course like BTech in Naval Architecture and Ocean engineering is available in IIT kharagpur.

If you want to do marine engineering then i will suggest you to join IMU kolkata

You might not get any iit seat because the iit seats are almost full till rank 7000. So it might be a possibility that you get good private college. So go for counselling. You might get a good college. All the best!

If you get admission into iits through preparatory courses you should take it. With your rank you won't get branches of your choice in good iits. You should also consider taking drop and study hard as you are from reserved category it will be easy for you to get good
