IIT's and NIT's have no quota/reservation for religious minority as such currently. They have four quota/reservations and two categories which are OBC,ST,SC,PwD and HS,OS respectively.

IIT does'nt take D2D (Diploma 2 Degree) students. For that, you need to prepare for JEE exam for getting admission

Firstly,i would tell you about the JEE advanced because it creates the main difference.
For general category,around 50 % marks will get you some decent branch .
If you want to take CSE in old IIT’s you should score around 70 % marks.
For electrical,ECE and other top
NIT is possible IIT not you will get good college
