Both are the good options & placement depends on you but with JEE preparation you will have better options if you score well in the exam. Somewhere it depends on your capability & interest.

Robotics is not branch specific. Robotics is interdisciplinary stream. Mechanical, Electronics and computer science are major contributing branches of robotics. Depending upon which prospect you have interest in be it either coding or structural or environmental friendly you should focus on it and take or opt that branch.
