Dear Student,
If you are willing to take Civil Branch in IIT Kharagpur, then your score in JEE Advanced must be very good. Now as per your SC category, you have to get a minimum JEE Advanced rank around 900. This data is based the previous year trends and the cut-off data. The data may varies a little bit as the cut-off depends on a lot of factors. You can also check the cut-off of IIT Kharagpur to check your admission chances. The link is given below.

Hi, the assistant professors of IIT usually do their PhD from abroad. The hands on experience is actually considered. The whole process varies in various IITs. Few things mention below matter a lot.
1. Quality of your PhD work. It doesn't matter from which institute you get a PhD, the work you have done will be seriously considered. By quality, it means publishing your research work in high profile journals and conferences with good impact factor.
2. Post doc experience- it varies from IIT to IIT. Project funded from dst and other government bodies are really considered.
3. Ability to define your research area. You need to have a clear vision for your research. The practical knowledge matters at last. So the research work and projects are really counted.
Hi..!!
Hope you are doing great
Let me just tell you step by step procedure
To become a professor in IIT or NIT ( for engineering) you have to done your bachelor's degree in engineering field
Secondly you do have masters in engineering and PhD according to your preference ( mostly time masters in engineering only can work as well)
Then you have to look for the vacancy
Hopefully this helps
Have a nice day..!!
Hello Aspirant,
See if you are getting CSE in IIT Palakkad as well as in VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology then I would recommend you to go with IIT Palakkad. I know it is new but a batch has been passed with good placement records and for CSE companies like Microsoft, TCS, Cognizant and some other were there for on-campus placement.
Other factor to go for IIT is that it runs under Central government which will be the benefit as compared to that of private college. If we compare the infrastructure then also IIT Palakkad holds a lead on VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology because it has much larger campus as compared to that of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology. Faculties are also well qualified and experienced even in both the institutes there are top level faculties quality education along with better placement assistance.
For complete comparison kindly refer to the link given below :-
https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges?college=1253-2604-course=42923-56453
Now the ultimate decision should be yours. Also note that IIT Palakkad has higher fee as compared to that of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
Yes. Migration certificate is issued by the board required at the time of admission to an IIT/NIT. But if you don't have the certificate immediately don't worry; they will allow to get admission without it but you need to submit that after days. You need to inform them giving an undertaking mentioning the date by which you will be able to submit the certificate.
Hopefully you have understood.
