My SC rank is 3750 in JEE Advance. Will I get admission in any IIT and in which streams?

Naman Raturi 9th Oct, 2020

Hello There ,

According to your rank and category , it would be tough to get admission in iit's , still you can try in the josaa counselling . Apart from iit , you have your jee mains rank , try if you can get a nit , iiit , or gfti with jee mains rank .

Apart from iit's , JEE Advanced score can be used to take admission to many colleges other than IIT which are these -

1)IISC Bangalore

2)IISER

3)IIST Thiruvananthapuram

4)RGIPT

5)IIPE

From these , you have chances to get iist , iiser , rgipt and iipe , so you can try for them .

For more details you can refer these all page. -

I left electrical in iit karagpur. then taken electronics in iit bhu . friends saying why prefer branch over the campus.what the differences in. am I .

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 17th Nov, 2020
Hello,

Well i would say your friends are not wrong here. This may dishearten you but i think Electrical at IIT kharagpur is a better option. Also IITK is better than IIT BHU. But if you have keen interest in electronics branch then its okay because if it would have been a waste if you would have taken a branch which doesn't interests you. Dont listen to what others have to say, if you have chose something then be proud of the decision and make it count.

I hope this helps.

which better 1) CSE Varanasi IIT 2) ECE Kharagpur iit 3) mathematics computing Hyderabad iit 4) ee Madras IIT please suggest me sir

Palak kumari 9th Oct, 2020

Hey aspirant,

I wouldn't be able to suggest you with which branch you should go for. As,this is a really important decision amongst the students. You should only go with that branch in which you feel you are more comfortable and interested. It's but obvious that you wouldn't want to waste your 4 years of life in studying something in which you are not at all interested.

Now, talking about all these 4 colleges on the basis of placement statistics then-

The highest package offered by IIT kharagpur till date is 1 crore per annum and average package offered is 13lpa.

For more details about placement statistics of IIT kharagpur please refer to the link mentioned below-

https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-technology-kharagpur/placement

Whereas the highest package offered by IIT hyderabad is 40lpa and average ranges around 11lpa.

For more details about placement statistics of IIT hyderabad please refer to the link mentioned below-

https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-technology-hyderabad/placement

Now, seeing the records of madras placement statistics, the highest package offered by this college is 1 crore per annum and the average ranges around 13.60 per annum.

For more details on placement statistics of IIT madras please refer to the link below-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-technology-madras/amp

Talking about IIT varanasi then the highest package offered by this college is 1.04crore and the average offered ranges around 11-13lpa.

For more details you can refer to the link mentioned below-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/iit-bhu-placement-report-2018/amp

Now seeing all these placement statistics of these 4 colleges I guess you can go for any one of these on the basis of your interested branch. As the average package offered by all these is above 10lpa.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

about mathematics computing in Hyderabad iit

Shreya sharma 9th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Hope you're doing well.

Btech or bachelor of technology in mathematics and computing is a four year full time undergraduate level degree programme offered by Indian institute of technology, Hyderabad. It's actually a new course and you will find it really interesting if you like computers and maths as well. As, IIT Hyderabad is one of the most prestigious institutions for engineering in our country, so, quality education won't be compromised .

The fees for 1st year is approximately 2.2 Lakhs.

A placement cell is also present at this institution. In 3rd and 4th year of your Btech, you will also be offered internships if you perform decently. On campus recruitment is also there.

The faculty is the best thing about this college, they are almost all of them, phD scholars from the top universities in India and abroad. Practical learning is taken care of. All other facilities such as hostels, infrastructure etc are really nice here.

i am a bsc biotech student I finished my 2and year with 49% marks so am I eligible for gate exam or IIT jam exam

mohannainani4 8th Oct, 2020
You aren't eligible for both of them this year, but you are for 2022 exam.

For both GATE and IIT JAM you should be in your third year of under graduate course. (As per New changes by GATE authority third year is also eligible from 2021)

I hope your doubt is clear!
