Is iit khargpur is best for mechanical engineering .That means placement offers is good or medium.

Debdeep Pramanik 31st Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

as per data of last year more than 85% of the students got placed from mechanical engineering during campus placement, and having an excellent package. The highest salary package offered is 37 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA. Even IIT Kharagpur is the best choice to go for rather than other IITS for Mechanical engineering. As its one of the oldest IIT of India it is an excellent placement cell that help students through to get the best opportunity.

Hope you have understood.

Im a general category student (oc) which ranlk should I has to get in jee advanced and jee mains for getting seat in IIT Hyderabad BTech cse or btech Artificial intelligence

ARYAN SAGAR 31st Oct, 2020
Dear student,

If you want to take admission in iit hyderabad in cse kr artificial intelligence branch, then you must have to work very hard and your jee advanced topics must be Crystal clear.
If doesn't matter that you belong from sc or obc or general category, you have to secure a good and exceptional rank to get your preferred branches.

So, if you are a general category candidate, then for getting a site seat in cse or artificial intelligence branch in iit hyderabad your general rank must be under 500 in jee advanced. And less the better. Also note that jee mains rank is only for getting admission in nit+ system colleges. For iits only jee advanced marks/ranks matter.

let I am get a package from iit delhi visited company in mechanical engineering and I worked 5 years. can I left job and give Gate ? let I got cutoff to join psu can I join? (give all questions answers)

apeksha150598 31st Oct, 2020
Hello,

Yes you can give GATE exam simultaneously work, no need to leave job. If you clear the cutoff marks for PSUs you will get a call from them for interview.
The cutoff marks are really high such as 70+ or 80+ in GATE exam. Working in any PSU is a reputed job and gives you good lifestyle with added perks. There is also job security.
Also you have worked in a company for 5 years you have good experience. This is an advantage during interviews.
The gate scores are valid for 3 years for M.Tech admissions. This is not the case for PSUs. You will have to give GATE exam in the coming year and clear the required cutoff.
But you need to check certain  PSUs which have age limit criteria.
You can refer careers360's article about PSU recruitment through GATE. This will help you clarify your doubts.

I hope I have answered all your queries properly.
All the best!

should I go for iit delhi mechanical private job or psus. is gate is tough? and I am a sc category one ,is there a reservation in psus?

Anushka agrawal 31st Oct, 2020

Hello student,

IIT Delhi mechanical and PSUS both are equally good at their places as we have to clear gate examination for both the sector. PSUS are not completely government or it may be possible that it is privatized by government authority. But I prefer that PSUS is better than IIT Delhi private jobs. In PSUS your average CTC is 18 LPA or more and you will get job just after clearing the gate. But in IIT Delhi, after completing your master's degree you will get the average CTC of 8 LPA. Thtswhy most of the students go through PSUS. PSUS  have a good lifestyle and you will save yourself from the fear of losing jobs and less saving problem as they mostly seen in private jobs. PSUS itself provide no reservation to the candidates but the GATE examination will provide 7.5% reservation for SC candidates.
