Sorry to say but to take admission in any NIT for M.Sc. in Mathematics ,the minimum eligibility criteria is B,Sc in Mathematics/B.A, with Mathematics honors.

For admission in mtech, different branches have different cut off closing ranks through GATE exam. The closing rank expected for the year 2020 as per previous years cut offs is 715-717 rank for general category (for main branches 690 rank max). The ranks are subject to change.

According to the cutoff of IIT ropar and the rank you have told that is seven thousand the options for you are with 7000 rank

Well 45 marks are good score but not good to maybe get you to IIT's,For IIT's you should have scored around 60 marks,well your caste depends too
If you are from general category it will be tough
you may surely get into NIT

The rank depends upon the no of students appeared in the exam but for IIT JAM biotechnology cutoff goes around 36 marks for general category, 30 for obc and 17 for sc\st.
Your rank will be around 800-900
