sorry to say iits and nits dont have lateral entry admission process for diploma engineering passed students. only 12th pass or 12th course appearing student can get admission in iits or nits btech program by clearing jee main or jee advance exam.

The allotment of seats in iit colleges or universities is also taken by based on jee advanced marks.The cut-off of marks of particular university or iit colleges can be checked on the particular college official website.

IIT Kanpur provides 4 year undergraduate degree courses in B.Tech (CS, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil, Material Sciences, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, chemical) and BS (Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Economics, Mathematics and Scienctific Computing, Physics).
