No it's not. See getting admissions into Mtech in CS in IITs is tougher than passing it. As you'll have to get very good rank in gate exam for admissions into iits so if you have cleared the GATE exam then Passing Mtech is not a big deal

In semiconductors the forbidden energy gap between valence band and conduction band is very small. Mostly it has a forbidden gap of about 1 electron volt (eV).
also conventional semiconductors like silicon have a energygap in the range of 1 - 1.5 electronvolt
