First of all you cannot apply in NITs with the help of your JEE ADVANCED rank as NITs only consider ranks out of JEE Mains,

What is difference between a B. Tech and M. Tech degree in an IIT. Shall someone prefer M. Tech over B tech. Which course should one opt?

Hey Devendra,

There is a huge difference between B. Tech and M. Tech as they are two different degrees.

Btech is for graduation and M. Tech is for post graduation.

Without Btech you cannot go for M. Tech

B. Tech is a 4 yrs course, whereas M. Tech is 2yrs

Yes from 2019 session there is 10% reservation for general economic weaker section in educational institution and because of that there is increase in seats from this year in all institutes.
