see it is not impossible to prepare for JEE advance simultaneously with btech but you will be so occupied with exams, assignments, attandance etc that it will be difficult for you to manage.

If you have qualified advanced then you can apply to both IITs and NITs but just fill the choices according to your order of preference.The options given in JoSAA counselling is the list of colleges that you can apply to .

as you secured a rank of 4973 IN THE JEE-ADVANCED examination it is very good

but the securement of the seat is difficult

it would be more diffult because the competition at the IITs will be more as the they are nationals  premium institutes

Well borther, I would recommend you not ot go for a perparatory course.

This can be a huge burden for you. As your low scores (which you also know), shows you have almost no command (right now) in physics, maths and chemistry.

So, I going to IIT will only demotivate

1.The seats reserved for respective category are  vacant.

2. Candidates have not accepted a seat in the preparatory course earlier.
