What is minimum percentage of marks required to get a seat in IIT HYDERABAD cse branch for sc candidate in JEE ADVANCED 2019?

kulvinder 25th May, 2019

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
Every year, the max. marks in case of JEE Advanced Changes and so there is not a definite percentage of marks that you need to score.
But being an SC Candidate, securing a minimum Category rank of around 150-170 would be needed to get a seat in IIT Hyderabad and that too in later rounds.
For the first round, your rank should be less than 150.

Hope it would help.
Thank You.

What is scope of m.tech in branch material science and metallurgy from IIT Hyderabad? I have 12 years experience in zinc smelting plant.

Archita Pathak 22nd May, 2019
Hi Harish!
There are future scopes of material science and metallurgy. I can classify it for you :-
  • Nanotechnology
In the next 10-15 years we will move from silicon age to nano age where particles having size of nanometers range will be developed. It is a field not only studied by material scientists but also electronic engineers, chemical engineers and biotechnology engineers.
  • Multifunctional Materials
Conventional materials like metals, ceramics and polymers are modified and designed such that they can change their properties with the change in environment. For example, shape memory alloys, piezoelectric materials, superconductive materials.
  • Composite Materials
These materials use two or more phases to provide a combined enhanced and desired properties at low strength to weight ratios.
  • Extractive Metallurgy and Energy Engineering
Fuels required to extract to obtain metals are exhausting. Thus, these scientists find ways to obtain metals at efficiency with minimum energy consumption.
  • Physical Metallurgy
In this field of study, people are finding ways to improve the properties of materials by proper control microstructures of materials.
Other fields under material science and metallurgy include the following :-
  • Nuclear Metals
  • Powder Metallurgy
  • Thin Films
  • Metallic Glasses
Hope this helps you find the best field for yourself.
All the best!

How much percent of total score In advanced I have to score to get into IIt Hyderabad and Homestate Category ?

Anandhu J 21st May, 2019

Hello,

In order to qualify JEE Advanced you need 30% overall and 10% in each of the sections. The admission occurs through JoSAA Counselling. The admission is done using rank list and cut-off is used for shortlisting the candidates. So the rank is required to predict whether you may get into IIT Hyderabad or not. This cut-off depends on the course, seat matrix as well as category. Please also note this that IITs do not admit students based on Home State (HS) quota. It is NITs that offer this quota.

I have a GATE 2019 score of 361(sc category) ece branch, have applied for iitm, iitb, iith and nits. are there any chances in spot at iits?

AMRIT SAGAR 17th May, 2019

Hey there,

Your chances of getting the IIT is very low. Your score must have a more better number to get the ECE Mtech at any IIT. I will suggest you to go for nits in the northeastern part of country. Some of these are NIT Mizoram, Agartala etc.

I hope your have got the point.

Good luck ahead !
