Indian Institute of Technology Indore
Hello Aspirant
IIIT Hyderabad is better than IIT Indore.
In terms of reputation, academic quality, and competitive factors, IIIT Hyderabad is better. Additionally, IIIT Hyderabad's syllabus has been updated.
More students are chosen for GSOC each year and receive higher packages. Companies prefer IIIT Hyderabad.
IIT Indore will surely provide you IIT tag, but not better opportunities for your career.
Thanks
Hello,
If you fall under the SC category, you would need to score very highly on the jee advanced exam in order to be admitted into one of the top 7 IITs for CSE.
You must now achieve a rating of at least under 180 rank in order to qualify for a guaranteed seat in the IIT with the lowest ranking.
You must therefore receive at least 130 scores in the JEE Advanced in order to receive a 180 SC rank. You can then suppose that you must achieve a JEE Advanced score of at least 160 in order to be admitted to one of the top IITs, such as IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, or IIT Kharagpur.
I believe you now have a general understanding of the scores or rankings needed to get a spot in CSE at one of the top seven IITs.
Thank You
Hey I too am having maths as an additional subject with pcb . Are you sure that we are eligible for jee mains/ advance? As I am very confused. Coz NTA has told that for being eligible for jee mains the student must have passed physics and maths as a compulsory subject along with chem/ bio etc.in the qualifying exam . Please enlighten me if you know anything related to this .
Hi Anjali.
Congratulations for scoring 109 marks in JEE Advanced . With such a score, your CRL Rank is nearly 18,000 . With such a rank, category and gender, unfortunately , you won't be able to get CSE at IIT Bombay , or in fact, CSE in any IIT . However, you may look out for these branches at the following IITs :

[Cutoffs and ranks depend on various factors like:
Barring a few Indian Institute of Technologies like IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi, with a rank of close to 3000 in the OBC (NCL) category, you may get every IIT under the sun. For example some IITs with branches that you might get are:
IIT Kharagpur: Bioengineering IIT Kharagpur: Food and Agricultural Engineering IIT Kharagpur: Mining Engineering IIT Bhilai: Electrical Engineering IIT Bhilai: Mechanical Engineering IIT Roorkee: Biosciences and Bioengineering IIT Roorkee: Geological Technology

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Since you have tagged this question under Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, so I'll provide you with the cut-off for the Mechanical Engineering branch for Schedule Cast candidate in 2021:
The opening SC rank for the 6th and the last round for counselling was 1063 and the corresponding closing rank was 1539. All the best!
If you are getting IIT Indore and BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) both then you should not even think of going to NITs. See, the placements in the core departments of both IIT Indore and BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) are comparable, but if you go with IIT Indore, then you will get an additional tag of IITian as well, which is quite well regarded in the core industry.
But on the same had, if you want better infrastructure and a solid legacy, just go with BPPC. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
Considering 90 marks, in JEE advanced then I think you have options of lower ranking IITs , you can check in more detail by checking their cut off.
IIT has a total of 10,572 locations. This leaves 5185 sheets for candidates in the general category.
This is how it works, allowing the top 5185 candidates in the general category to enroll in IIT. Therefore, the 5185th general category candidate clearly has a total merit list rank of over 5,000. Usually it is about 10k.
Therefore, if you are from a common category and have a rank of less than 10,000, you may join an IIT in one of the lesser industries.
Last year's final rank in the general category of IIT Madras was 9353. That was the last series of life sciences. Therefore, the higher the rank, the less choice you have for the branch. But you still get a place somewhere
For older IITs such as IIT B, IIT Delhi, IIT KGP, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, the rank must be less than 3000. At ranks below 5000, you can expect a new IIT.

I hope this helps.
Good Luck
See this year you only need to pass class 12th, there is no need to be in top 20 percentile or should have at least 75% in 12th, therefore you can apply for it in this year as well but if you want to appear for 2023 then there might be problem for you if the criteria gets restored because then you will become ineligible for JEE-Advance 2023 even after qualifying JEE-Main 2023 because to appear in JEE-Main no minimum percentage is required but for JEE-Advance you need to qualify JEE-Main as well as you must have 75% in class 12th if you belongs to General category, in the case if criteria gets restored otherwise you can appear for it in 2023 as well.
Also note that you can appear for JEE-Main 2023 even if you have not scored 75% marks in class 12th this is because there is never a requirement of any minimum percentage in class 12th for JEE-Main but the 75% is required for admission to NITs/IIIT/GFTIs on the basis of your JEE-Main score or to appear for JEE-Advance.
But you can get admission in other colleges to by only appearing in JEE-Main depending upon the eligibility criteria.
Also note that maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.
