As you want to become an astronaut:

For that you will have to start focusing on your career once you pass 10th grade. One should choose Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects in 12th.

After you are done with 12th grade and you have gotten good grades, you need to focus on a good Bachelors degree from a recognized university. One could choose a course in Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, or Aerospace Engineering.

To be able to get a post graduation degree and a doctorate, you need to do well in your undergraduate degree. Post graduation and doctorate will basically be specialization in your stream.

After you are done with graduation, you can sit for the exam, which is held by NASA for the recruitment of scientists and astronauts. Or in order to join ISRO one needs to clear the Joint Entrance Exam which is held by the IITs.

And in order to be a mission specialist, you will need 3 years of related and responsible experience.

IF you want to pursue btech in a old conventional branch then ece at iit dhanbad is best but if you have no problem in choosing new branches then iit jodhpur artificial intelligence is also good but i wont advice to take cse at iit dharwad as it is a new iit comparatively. Overall going by brand name and branch combined iit dhanbad ece might prove to be the best option.

It has very well organized highly developed infrastructure with all the latest technology , digitialized smartrooms and highly qualified faculities . For placements , I would say it is totally upto if you have good knowledge of data structure and algorithms , oops ,operating system and have good projects in your resume then you can easily crack good placement in a product based company

IIT bhu is tier-1 nirf ranked 11 college which has very very high brand name and has very strong alumni network for placements . Even in electronics stream you will find a very good coding culture due to hardworking students and helpful faculities . The average package goes aroud above 15 lakhs and sky is the limit in IIT if we talk about highest package

The material engineering branch won't provide you much scope in future.

If you are willing to make career in material engineering field, you can go with college. But, there are very less placements opportunities.

It is an interdisciplinary branch that covers design, production, and characterization of materials for energy, electronics, aerospace, automotive, and healthcare industries.

IIT DHANBAD ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERING

Environmental Engineering at IIT Dhanbad is a good.

The scope of this branch is les in India but provides chance to study in top global universities doing MS or PhD.

The alumini's of environment engineering at Dhanbad have completed thier Master's from Harvard/MIT, UIUC , Cornell , Columbia etc.

Call later entry in BTech course up Delhi Technological University Delhi,candidates should have the past three years diploma course with at least 60% marks from any  polytechnic College. Recognised and approved by AICTE Delhi.Candidate has  to face an admission test of Delhi Technological University for  taking admission in the B course in the respective stream that the candidate is interested to take admission. For lateral entry admission in BE or BTech CSE branch the same eligibility criteria is followed in Delhi Technological University Delhi which is a  state University  college of government of Delhi.

Mess fee can't be Rs. 12000 per month it may be per Semester. Some students residing away from college may opt for  hostel facilities. There will be limited seats in hostels who ever applies first can get hostel facility first.
