Food processing is considered as a lower branch in all the colleges and if seen from the practical aspect , in india there is very less scope in the food processing stream or in the horeca buisness.

Eligibility criteria is that you must have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/M.Sc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE etc.) and having a valid GATE score.

See it is difficult to determine before cut-offs changes from year to year and may depend on many factors.

You must have minimum 60 percentage if you belong to general category and 55 percentage

As we go through the latest cut-off of 2021 then it shows that the closing rank for SC category was around 1000-1500 for branches other than CSE and if you need CSE or ECE then you should aim for rank around 100-200 or even less than 100 for
