Hi Sukrit. May be my opinion will sound different to you, but to be completely honest with you, you should choose IIT Roorkee Metallurgy as Electrical or Mechanical are very common branches now a days with high competition, whereas metallurgy is less popular and you can easily get a job.

In order to take admission in IITs you have to appear for JEE Advanced exam.
To be eligible for JEE Advanced exam you have to qualify for JEE Main exam first. To be eligible for IITs you should have 75% marks in your boards exam or you should be in top 20 percentile for general category.
For SC/ST it is 65% marks.
IIT mandi is still no ready to start a new course... They are not ready to plan a new course .So , at this moment there are no chances ..
