Sir Im getting 43 marks in gate civil afternoon session (OBC category).can I get earthquake or Hydrology at IIT Roorkee?

according to the previous year cut off, you are lacking few marks as according to me the cut off for the mtech in earthquake or hydrology may lie around 50 marks this current year but still anything is possible to keep checking our official website for the cutoff assessment.

Hey,

IIT Roorkee offers two courses in Biotechnology, one is masters in biotechnology (Msc. Biotech) which is a two-year postgraduate degree course and the other is B.tech biotechnology which is a four-year undergraduate degree course.

To get admission into MSC. Biotech, you must qualify IIT JAM (Joint admission test).

And for B.Tech biotech, you must qualify JEE (Joint entrance examination).

Hi Nawed! With your percentile, you are eligible to apply for VGSoM IIT Kharagpur, DIME, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee. The CAT cutoff of the other B-schools mentioned by you is slightly higher. You may read the following article to know which B-schools you may apply for:

Can I get a call from IME, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee

Hi Manish! You won't get a call from IIT Roorkee as the cutoff for it is much higher than what you have scored. As for IIT roorkee the cutoff is 95+ and for IIT kanpur it is 85+. Hence, you will get a call from IIT kanpur. All the best for GD PI and congratulations for scoring high!

Since you have a good profile and work experience you can expect calls from all the best institutes including the old IIMs. You can also apply for NITIE, IIT MUMBAI, Delhi, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee.

GATE Cutoff for IIT Roorkee - IIT Roorkee will release GATE 2018 cutoff for the institute after the results are announced. Candidates aspiring to take admission at IIT Roorkee in M.Tech programmes on the basis of GATE must note that in order to be considered eligible for admissions, they need to have secured marks at least equal to the GATE 2018 cutoff for IIT Roorkee or more than that. Candidates having marks/score below the cutoff marks are not eligible for admissions to PG programmes. The institute will release the GATE cutoff 2018 for IIT Roorkee as per the different categories of the candidates and the disciplines of M.Tech available at the institute. Different IITs also have different cutoff of GATE, which varies from branch to branch and category to category. GATE 2018 cutoff for IIT Roorkee is the minimum score that candidates must meet for admissions.

In order to take admission in IITs for B.Arch you have to qualify for JEE Main paper 1 first to appear for JEE Advanced exam then you have to qualify for JEE Advanced exam to apply for AAT entrance exam in order to take admission.
