Hello Aspirant,
Indian Naval Academy is a training establishment based in Ezhimala, Kerala. This institute being the largest naval Academy in Asia provides initial officer training to naval cadets admitted through the UPSC entry NDA (NA) exam and 10+2 BTech entry. The period of initial training is of 4 years. Upon graduation the cadets are given a Bachelor Of Technology (BTech.) degree. Also, cadets of Short Service Commission (SSC) entry are given training here and the training period for direct entry is of 22 weeks.
On the other hand, the Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces. The primary objective of the Navy is to protect the nation's maritime border. In recent years, the navy has been involved in numerous humanitarian missions and disaster relief. With 79,000+ service personnel, the Indian Navy is the fifth largest Navy in the world.
It's all upon you where you want to go decide with a cool mind as you have known the difference between it by reading.
thank you
hope it helps you
Hello!
Yes, after clearing NDA exam, candidates have to go through Physical/Medical Test. Physical test is conducted only for candidates who have been shortlisted by SSB.
The second part of your answer is a bit unclear. I'm assuming you want to what are the conditions required or to be precise, the procedure of the physical test.
So these are some of the medical tests conducted by the board - b lood test, urine test, chest x-ray, e ar, nose & tongue(ENT) test, eye check up, dental check up, general medical test like height, weight, blood pressure, heartbeat, and s urgical examination.
Hope this answers your query.
Hello student,
Here is the solution regarding your question- The Candidates on completion of the 10+2 (PCM) Examination or while in the 12th standard are eligible to compete. Successful candidates join the NDA or Naval Academy as Naval cadets. Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE).
Good luck..
Hi there ,
As per your query ,
As per the eligibility for joining merchant navy you should be completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the Normal vision is required but glasses up to plus or minus 2.5 may be allowed .
Hope you understand , in case of any issue you can revert here.
Thank you and all the best.
Hi,
The applicant with a B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Technology Engineering can join the Merchant navy as an Engine Cadet, Fifth Engineer or as a Junior Engineer. The Direct entry Deck Cadets have to go through a basic pre-sea training. This is mandatory to all the candidates, so you are not eligible for Merchant Navy.
But, you can join in Navy after graduation, to join in the Merchant Navy you have to give upsc exam. Through UPSC exam, you can appear after your graduation course.
Merchant Navy basically gives opportunities to candidates with science background. Most of the jobs on board are performed by marine engineers and deck officers. They look after the engineering department and navigation department. Since there are not enough shipping companies that recruits commerce graduates, but some of them do appoint commerce graduates with computer knowledge to look after the clerical jobs on board. The one who looks after the clerical jobs on board are called pursuer.
As you have mentioned about BCom, i guess you can do very well in commercial field, instead of opting for merchant navy.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Hello,
While applying for Indian Navy AA and SSR recruitment you must upload the original documents and carry the same original documents at the time of written test and Physical Fitness Test. As you are still appearing in the qualifying examination that is 10+2 you are not eligible to apply for Indian Navy AA and SSR August 2022 Batch. Indian Navy AA and SSR Recruitment will be conducted twice in a year. You can apply for upcoming cycle for which the notification will be released in June/July.
To be eligible for Indian Navy you must have Science in class 12, with Physics & Mathematics and English as mandatory subjects. So if you do commerce in your 10+2 level you will not be eligible for the Indian Navy. You will be eligible for The Indian Army but not the Navy or Air force. Entry into the Indian Navy is mostly through entrance exams like NDA/ NDA (Naval Academy) after class 12. So it's better if you do your 10+2 level with science rather than commerce.
