What is the exam pattern for ISI entrance exam for m.stat and is there any negative marking for both the papers??

Shreya_1549549812 Student Expert 28th Apr, 2019

Hello pallavi,

ISI Admission Test consists of 2 parts:

  • The section A of the test contains multiple choice questions in Mathematics and logical reasoning. The questions are of the undergraduate level.
  • The section B of the test contains descriptive, short answer questions from Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, and Engineering & Technology.

On the other hand if you are the  one who are applying for admission into M.Tech in CS will find five parts in Section B.Then you  have to attempt only one section out of the 5 sections: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering & Technology.

There is no negative marking in ISI entrance exam and time duration for exam is 4 hours i.e 2 hours each.

Hope it helps

Thank you :)

There is exactly 13 days for ISI admission test.I had applied for B.Math, what is exact procedure to qualify in exam.

AMRIT SAGAR 23rd Apr, 2019

Hey Ajith,

The only way to qualify this examination is that you should solve the questions that you know properly so that you can get it right. Solving any question wrong will get you a negative point that may not be favourable for you rather you should leave the questions to increase your score. Atlast, be consistent during the exam, plan yourself smartly.

Good luck !
