For taking admission into the IGNOU MA English program, candidates need to have passed their Bachelors degree from a recognized college/university. There is as such marks provision for admission into IGNOU. You just need to be pass with any division. It does not matter that you have passed your bachelors from SOL as long as it is recognized. So, you can surely get admitted into the IGNOU MA English program.

The official eligibility criteria for IGNOU Master of Science in Dietetics and Food Service Management [M.Sc. (DFSM)] is stated below:
B.Sc Home Science with specialization in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Or PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition or its equivalent Or Graduate (B.Sc. Hons.) or equivalent (MBBS, BHS etc.) from any of the following backgrounds: Home Science/ Food Science and Technology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical along with the DNHE or CNCC or CFN offered by IGNOU. (Simultaneous admission for CFN/CNCC also permitted)
As you can see there are no mentions of Life sciences you aren't eligible for the course.

IGNOU has a larger number of regional centres as in every state of India, under RCs there are numerous study centre unlike in DU SOL where study centre are limited to Delhi only, IGNOU offers a varied number of undergraduate, post-graduate, pg diploma, certificate, diploma to name a few courses, but DU SOL only offers selective courses, also IGNOU has universal presence as in study centres are also abroad, generally the study materials of IGNOU are considered better than that of DU SOL,

There is no need to worry about this, try to talk with the faculty of your college/school or simply convince them on Whatsapp. Elaborate you problem or situation for why you haven't submitted your assignment on time and definitely they will understand your problem and admit you to submit your assignment. and if they are not understanding they talk to the higher authorities of your institute, after that definitely your problem will be be resolved.
