The School of Management Studies at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme at the undergraduate level. To get admission to the BBA at IGNOU, candidates are required to pass the Class 12 or equivalent level examination from a recognised Board/ Institution. The BBA programme is a broad-based programme with a mix of multidisciplinary and skill based courses. The BBA programme at IGNOU is offered with the provision of multiple entry and exit options.

The university also offers BBA in Retailing and BBA in Service Management . The eligibility criteria for both specialisations are mentioned below:

BBA Retailing : Category A– Direct entry

• Class 12 or equivalent examination based on merit of physically fit candidates.
• There will be a personal interview at the regional center prior to selection of candidates.

Category B – Sponsored Admission
The sponsor is allowed to nominate employees, who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination, from their retail organisation.

BBA Service Management: Candidates should have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised institution, and must have passed the entrance examination conducted for this programme. They must be working or willing to work in services industry as a full-time Intern/ Apprentice/ Employee.

admission to bba in Retailing (BBARL) course in IGNOU is done by two methods.

one is direct entry and another is through sponsored admission.

for direct entry admission process, candidates need to 10+2 course from a recognized education board from any of the stream. and mathematics is not compulsory for bba admission to ignou or any other colleges in india.

there is no age limit to apply for bba course in ignou. course minimum duration is 3 years and maximum duration is of 6 years.
