I am a CA Final student having 3 yrs (including 1 yr as Industrial Trainee in Finance in Foreign Bank). I am also graduated Mcom & Bcom. Can my 3 yrs of CA articleship qualify as experience for MAT exam??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Nov, 2019

Shruthi, your articleship is not counted as work experience. This is because you completed your articleship as a part of mandatory experience as per the ICAI guidelines and this doesn't add as your professional experience. Even IIMs do not consider articleship as work experience while shortlisting for CAT admissions.

Does the course of industrial design include mathematics?

NAVEEN MEENA Student Expert 15th Nov, 2019

Dear aspirant, B.Des in Indsutrial Design doesn't include mathematics as one of the subjects but you will require basic mathematics while designing of a product. This includes mainly the Geometry part. Knowing the dimensions of a product and designing it according to the need is very important.

You will mainly be concentrating on designing subjects and the software related to them so complex mathematics won't be introduced to you in this course.

All the best

Hope this helps

I am an average student (male) with a score of 81% in 10th, 76% in 12th and 62% in my engineering. With 1 year internship and 1 year industrial experience (core mechanical), is there any chance of getting an IIM call (new or baby IIMs) with a score of around 85-90 percentile in CAT? (category-obc)?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 23rd Dec, 2019
Hello,

Your past academics are just above average but you have an advantage of internship and job experience but still getting in IIM ABC  will be difficult because apart from good percentile must also need to have a good academics and if you want to get in new or baby IIMs still you need to get a percentile above 95 at least.Competieon is tough these days so you need raise some marks in order to get into a good B School.

Good Luck
