No CSE and Software engineering are not same. They are different in few subjects. In cse you’ll be mostly concentrating on many computer languages like C,C++ and etc. you’ll be dealing with programs and algorithms . Software engineering deals with the implementation and development of the software

You can apply to job pirtals like Internshala or Letsintern which has tonnes of Opportunities across sectors in IT and Computer Science. 

Students can also take internship via referrals.

Yes you can get admission in field based on your diploma. But you have to write Lateral Entry Scheme Exams to get admission in Engineering colleges, which are conducted in your state.
