Both are good options and hold  good opportunities ahead. It is all your personal choice what you want to pursue. Of you want to pursue career in IT then you won't get opportunities in government sector but ECE can fetch you one.

You have less chances in government colleges you can try in private colleges.

If you want to go for computer or mechanical field, you have very less chances.

There are still some weak chances that you may get other branches.
