Amy Student Expert 4th Nov, 2019
Hello,
CSE in Kalyani Government Engineering College will be much better. I'm a local here and I know many pupils from both the colleges. The placements are much better in the Kalyani Government engineering College than the IEM. Kalyani Gov Engineering college has many highly established alumis. The classes are conducted better in IEM though. Hope this helped!

Nakkina Sai Bhaskar Student Expert 31st Aug, 2019

Hii,

Obviously University of Education and Management Jaipur is a better College than BP Poddar institute of Engineering and Management. UEM Jaipur offers various courses in the field of Engineering and Management. Speaking about the infrastructure and facilities the college is best. Placements are exceptional. Almost everyone gets placed . Good placement records than Poddar institute.

Hello

IEM is one of the best college for mechanical engineering in Kolkata. The college has high-quality teachers here. We are assigned daily homework and assessment is taken on the next class. The student quality is really good. There is a good atmosphere of competition over here. The placements are going to be good as various core company is visiting the college regularly. All you have to do is get 7.5 CGPA, and you will find a way for your job. For extraordinary placements in the college, one has to be the best and secure 8.5 above with good skills.

Average package of mechanical branch in IEM and how many% student get select for job

Ankur Dubey Student Expert 28th Aug, 2019
Hello

Till 2016 ,students of 3 departments have graduated from IEM. In 2017 , the first batch of Electrical And Mechanical will graduate too. Before stating the figures , I think the background was necessary. in 2017 , total eligible students were close to 650. In slot zero- 3 IT majors come in - CTS , INFY , WIPRO ( offering salaries around 3.4 LPA)- More or less 300 students get placed in these ( across all streams). Those placed are not eligible to sit in any of the other IT companies coming in such as Tech Mahindra , Capgemini, IBM ( where nearly 100 students get placed) . In between some core electronics companies like Sankalp Semiconductors hire 2-3 students offering 4 LPA salary. For CSE and IT , PWC,NRI Fintech, ARW, SAP Labs are dream companies ( the average package for these companies 6 LPA). Mechanical and Electrical students get placed in VOLTAS , BLUESTAR, Paharpur Cooling Towers, and host of other core companies (AVG -3.5-4) . Since 2017 was a tough year for the companies because of demonetisation the college didn't fulfill its target of 100% placement, though certainly the percentage placement is amongst the highest in Eastern India.

I hope it will help you
Good luck....
